[ a beat. ] ...Maybe more than I needed to, in some regards. [ christ. ] You did really well, though, Mathis! I was really impressed. What'd you like listening to?
... I really enjoy our Wednesdays. It's always nice when we all get together in a warmer occasion, isn't it? Sometimes they end poorly, but... for the most part, it's so nice to see everyone getting along.
Yes. I... think it would be quite nice if people would stop cursing each other altogether. I'm not sure why anyone does. [ that's because you are a lawful good rondo ] Or... at least stop piling them onto the same people, if they absolutely must...
Well... good - I'm glad. [ i sisi hope you get curses more but i cannot provide them for you so im prayin ]
It was pretty concerning... I don't think people always realize that their actions can have consequences.
Last week was the first and only time for me as well, and I don't think the person meant any harm by it, though it was poorly timed... [ being a snake when ishtar died. bad. ] I'd rather it be me than you, if it must be someone. Or me over Lavi or Mr. Gale.
I find those to be the worst of them all - someone's heart is their heart, and feelings are something precious to be treasured, no matter what they are.
Oh! [ STRONG FEELINGS... THE L WORD... he looks a little surprised, but not in a bad way. ] ... I see... passionate feelings indeed. Does... is he aware?
I see... [ ah. what he said about confession - mathis' reaction to it, too. he smiles a little bit, sympathetic, maybe even empathetic, and reaches over to find his hand and give it a little squeeze. ] And... you two are still alright? Nothing has changed?
[ it's hard to imagine a life where he doesn't love sazantos. some part of him is still stuck in the nostalgia of days gone by - some part maybe always will be. it's so hard to compare the two figures: the man in the mask, and the one who saved rondo's life.
he doesn't sound upset about it or anything, though. just kind of thoughtful. ] It took me a while to understand that's what those feelings were, but... as I got older, I knew. And the more time that we spent together, the worse that it got. I used to live for hearing him call my name.
[ Rondo. the sound of it haunts his dreams, even here. ]
But... I don't think he'd never, ever, ever in a thousand years feel the same way that I did, for a lot of reasons. It never stopped me from loving him, though.

[...]
I wish that we'd leave each other alone a little more when we get together... but at least the curses yesterday seemed harmless.

[ bulliable.... ] Mr. Gale has been a target often, as well.

I've been left alone since the other week. I think they must have been worried about it, after what happened between me and Monsieur Gale.

[though-- well.]
But I'd really rather not have anyone using the hate or love curses at all. Changing someone's feelings like that is different.

[ like, immediately ]

[ at least as far as he could tell?? COULD BE WRONG but also. also he has eyes... ]
...Do... And - um, if this is intrusive, feel free to tell me not to ask, but... you two are quite close, right? Do you...?

[sighs in alpha week because he has no problem talking about it aaaa.]
Yes.

I told him the other day. There isn't... anything between us, but he knows.

[he smiles slightly in turn, squeezes rondo's hand back.]
He... just isn't the type who's able to accept those sorts of feelings. That's all.
no subject
[ god doesn't he. but he covers their hands with his other one, reassuring. ] Do... you want to talk about it? We don't have to.
no subject
[so, not that he's unwilling, but some of the feelings do revolve around things that he's keeping private.]
no subject
[ so, yeah! he is a respectful and private boy. rondo nods, though, falling quiet for a long moment, and keeping a hold of mathis' hand. ]
I - well. You saw my memories. [ a little huff. ] Did you know that I fell in love with Sir Sazantos at first sight? That was nearly a decade ago.
no subject
[he very much got that impression.]
Did that change, after what happened?
