But he'll just quietly flip through the pages of the book until it lands on one with a lotus picture; Mathis will recognize it as being very similar to the ones baby Kanda saw in his hallucinations.]
[He glances sidelong at Mathis, trying to gauge how much he remembers without actually asking; after a moment, he shuts the book and hands it over so that Mathis can look at whatever pages he wants.]
["No" would be an easy answer, and it's what he'd default to most of the time. But he's had enough time away from the crowd to mellow out, so he thinks about how to answer a little more than he normally would.]
