[the tears stop after a short time. just a brief outlet of emotion while he holds on to lavi, dampening his shoulder; he stays slumped there when it's over, holding back a sniffle or two, quieting.
he could've left. he didn't have to worry over him. mathis really is... causing trouble to too many people.
